Staff are already using AI, but nobody planned for it
An illustration of the kind of change we work on, not a client result.
Today
- Staff use personal AI accounts for drafting and research, with no guidance on what they can paste in.
- Leadership hears pitches from several vendors and has no way to compare them.
- Two promising ideas stall because nobody owns them or knows what they would cost.
With the change
- A short responsible-use policy, and staff trained on it.
- A shortlist of three use cases ranked by value and effort, with a vendor comparison.
- A phased roadmap with owners, budgets and the measures that decide whether each phase continues.

Your data and decisions
Every system gets only the access it needs, people approve actions with real consequences, and demonstrations are labelled as demonstrations.

How long does a readiness assessment take?
It depends on the size of your organization and how many teams are involved. We agree the timeline in a written scope before any work starts. Most of the assessment is stakeholder interviews and a review of your existing workflows.
Do you only recommend things you can build?
No. Some recommendations will be off-the-shelf tools, some will be process changes, and some will be “not yet”. If another provider is a better fit for a project, we’ll say so.
We’re not technical. Is that a problem?
No. Consulting work is written for decision makers. We explain trade-offs in plain language and keep technical detail in appendices for whoever needs it.
What do we get at the end?
Written deliverables you keep: the assessment, the roadmap, and any policies or training materials we produced together.
What happens to the information we share?
We use it only for the engagement, keep it in access-controlled systems, and agree how it is returned or deleted when the work ends.
